Prologue to the Journey.

As much as I hate the cliche concept of "we have seasons of our lives" it, like all other cliche things, is cliche for a reason, its simply true. I am currently experiencing what I believe to be the end of a "season" in my life.

In order to fully understand the importance of what's currently happening in my life, you will need a bit of background information. First of all, my name is Adam. I'm 20 years of age and I am married to a woman for whom I have not the words for, her name is Tenea. I live in a one bedroom garage apartment in Jacksonville, Florida. I have a cat named Walden. I am currently employed at Best Buy Mobile at a near by shopping mall, and I do love my job. I am a Christian, in the most literal sense of the word. I attend Oak Leaf Christian Fellowship, the only church I've been able to call my church. My interests include video/film art forms, photography, design, camping and hiking, vintage automobiles, technology, ect. I don't have many friends, but I have good friends. I love my life. But it, like all things, just needs a change every now and then.

My wife and I, for as long as we have known each other, have talked of travel and "getting out of here", and that seems like it may be on the verge of being a real option. A little over a week ago my wife got a call from her good friend Sean who works at a church in New Orleans, Louisiana. He told Tenea about how the main video guy at his church left and they were looking for someone to replace him. Sean told the Media Director about me and the Media Director wanted me to submit a Demo Reel and some sort of Promotional sample. But things like Demo reels and stuff like that is that its something usually done over time and you just edit together the best shots and what not from your projects. Well the Film and Video scene just isn't that huge here in Jacksonville, so I really didn't have to much to show for what my abilities were other than my own word. So I had to do something I had never done, shoot and edit a Demo Reel and a Sample Promotional video in just a few days. Which I did.

Just earlier today I finished the videos, prayed over them, and sent them to the Media Director. Now we wait to hear back.
I've decided to start this blog as a chronicle to my impending adventure, and this will act as the prologue.

My heart is longing for the adventure, I pray for my will to be paralell with that of the Lords and my eyes to be fixed upon the same horizen as the Almighty's.

Stay Tuned.
